Colour
is the way an object reflects or emits light. By placing colours next to
each other in different ways, artists can create a variety of effects.
Each colour has 3 properties: hue, value and
intensity.
Hue is the name
of the colour.
Value is a colours
lightness or darkness.
Intensity refers to the
brightness of a colour, often measured by boldness or dullness.
There are three primary colours (blue, yellow and
red) from which all other colours are made.

Today your challenge is to create a colour wheel with objects you can find around your home. It can be anything you can find. There are two colour wheels below.
The first is simple and I would expect grade Prep to 2 to be focussing on the first colour wheel.
Example:
Grades 3-6 please take on the challenge of the more difficult colour wheel.
TASK 1 - Once you have made a colour wheel using the objects from around your house, please take a photo and send it in.
TASK 2 - Look at the artwork below and answer the questions in an email to Mrs Toma. katrina.toma@education.vic.gov.au
