WEEK 7 - Nature Collage

ART – Week 7 – Nature Collage

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
·        Take a bag or container outside with you.
·        Find natural objects that you think look interesting. Think about their patterns, textures, colours and shapes. Collect roughly 20 objects (e.g. sticks, grass, leaves, flowers, seeds etc.)
·        Go to a flat surface to work (concrete, dirt, paper).
·        Arrange all of the items in front of you.
·        Group all of the objects into colours (e.g. all browns together, greens together, etc.)
·        Arrange your objects from the lightest colour to the darkest colour.
·        Take a photo of your collage colour chart.
·        Using your objects, create a picture of anything you like. (An animal or an insect is a good idea if you are stuck.) Think about what you want to create, and which colours or textures you will need to use to create that image so that it is as realistic as possible. You can collect more natural objects if needed. You can use PVA glue* to glue the objects down, and can add pen or pencil lines where desired. * If you do not have PVA glue just lie the objects down in your picture.
·        When you have finished, take a photo.

·        Email both of your photos to Mrs Toma – katrina.toma@education.vic.gov.au
